Gijs’ Room Collage: A Patchwork of Stories and Identity

This is Gijs Huizinga, a self-employed artist from The Hague. His bedroom contains an appealing patchwork of self-made art, emotional objects and characteristic collectibles. All of these objects tell the story of Gijs’ creative and personal life, and in many ways, they reflect how the 22-year-old artist sees the world and himself. His living space collage has so far only been seen by his family and close friends: this is the first time the artwork that is his room can be viewed by the outside world.
