Why arms and armor?

Peter Dekker is a researcher and trader in antique arms and armor based in the city of Haarlem, the Netherlands. He is the sole proprietor of Mandarin Mansion. Peter in his own words:

I find the greatest joy in carefully documenting and photographing antique arms, conducting research to advance my understanding and discussing antique arms with fellow enthusiasts. Trading for me is merely the means that allow me to live a life fully immersed in my passion: antique arms. Over the years I have built a reputation as a thorough researcher which in turn has lead me to advise some of the world's top experts, dealers, collectors, and institutions. Obvious question for me to ask is: why arms and armors?
